Jones Cup Junior Qualifier
December 8, 2024
The Retreat Course at Sea Island
Qualifier registration will open on November 12, 2024, at 10 a.m. EST and close on November 19, 2024, at 3 p.m. EST. A minimum of 4 qualifying spots to participate in the 2024 event will be awarded. In addition, 3 alternates will be determined to fill any potential vacancies. Ties for the final qualifying spot or any alternate place will be broken by a “hole-by-hole” sudden-death playoff immediately following the completion of play. The qualifier will be limited to 90 players.
Tournament Eligibility
The Jones Cup Junior Invitational is available for male amateur golfers who are no older than 18 as of December 18, 2024 and are not enrolled full-time at a university. Entries are subject to approval or rejection by the Jones Cup Junior Invitational committee at any time, including after the start of play. The field is limited to 84 players.

Located between Seaside and Plantation courses at the Sea Island Golf Club, The Lodge overlooks St. Simons Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, with 43 rooms in the main building and seven cottages. Full access to Sea Island amenities, including golf, is included.

The Inn by Sea Island

Located on St. Simons Island, The Inn is a select-service property. Access to the Sea Island Golf Club is included during the Qualifier and Tournament dates.

Rooms and Rates are based upon availability
The nightly rate at The Lodge and The Cloister is subject to a $38 nightly Sea Island Club Resort Fee, a 2.25% infrastructure fee (SIIF), and applicable taxes, currently 7% sales tax, 5% room tax, and a $5 state lodging tax.
The nightly rate at The Inn is subject to applicable taxes and fees, currently 7% sales tax, 5% room tax, $5 state lodging tax, and 2.25% infrastructure fee (SIIF). Resort Access is included in rate and provides entry to all Sea Island amenities (except the Sea Island Beach Club), such as dining, spa, fitness center, and golf.
A deposit of two night’s room charge will be required to secure guest rooms. The deposit is refundable until seven days prior to arrival. All rates are based on availability.

- Brunswick Airport (BQK) is located roughly 20 miles from Sea Island Golf Club.
- Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is located 72 miles south of Sea Island Golf Club.
- Savannah International Airport (SAV) is located 85 miles north of Sea Island Golf Club.
Caddies
Caddies for the Jones Cup Junior Invitational are not permitted. Players will be responsible for carrying their own golf bags during both practice and tournament rounds.
Pull carts or trolleys are permitted.
